The old Ragged Point Inn Resort Hotel rooms aren't what you would call extravagantly luxurious, they are just comfortable but they have unparallel Pacific Ocean views and the ocean view side of the hotel rooms are entirely glass to maximize the ocean views enjoyment. The greatest level of privacy is offered by any of the hotels upstairs rooms, because no outsiders can easily see in the upper hotel rooms you can leave the curtains open to enjoy the view and run around the room naked if you want. They have all the other resort hotel room amenities to make for a nice stay like tables, in room coffee, and satellite TV, you can get an alarm clock or iron at the front hotel lobby desk if you need one; there are no telephones in any of the hotel rooms but there are pay phones and some cell phones like AT&T work on the resort property; no smoking in any of the hotel rooms or resort buildings but people often smoke on the balconies, back porches and on the patios and other outdoor areas of the Point.

Ragged Point offers hotel guests accommodations in five different buildings and I have been in every hotel room at the resort. The top pick for luxury and romance for most people are the upstairs hotel rooms of the newer hotel building because of privacy, newness, and the more luxury oriented amenities like the jacuzzi tubs, romantic fireplaces and rugged San Simeon cliff Pacific Coast Ocean views. My personal favorites are the upstairs hotel rooms of the Hotel Lobby Building because they are cheaper and feel more comfy to me; some of these hotel rooms have nice decks and views too.
