This is a photo of a Monarch Butterfly on a Pride of Madera Plant taken north of San Simeon at the Ragged Point Inn and Ocean View Resort.
Great numbers of Monarch Butterflies are attracted to the ornamental flower gardens around the Ragged Point Inn Ocean View Resort and Ragged Point Inn Restaurant and it is delightful the way they will fill the air fluttering all around you; there are yearly migrations of the butterflies that start arriving to the resort in the early fall.
