From the North

Take Highway 1 South from Carmel. Continue towards Big Sur on Highway 1. We are located approximately 48 miles south of Big Sur, 11 miles south of Gorda, just south of the Monterey / San Luis Obispo County line. The Resort is easily seen from the highway . You are almost there when you see the big Ragged Point billboard on the right side of the highway; the resort is just around the corner but don't take the first entrance, use the second or third paved entrance you come to.
The hotel lobby's tall covered double in and out driveway will provide convenient parking while you register at the hotel.

This is a whimsical highway map of the Scenic Coast Highway 1. It includes most towns, creeks, and landmarks for the area from Monterey to Morro Bay California. It is made for the purpose of guiding guests to the Ragged Point Inn and Resort Hotel and help them find things to see and do along the way. From the South

Take Hwy 101 to Hwy 1 at San Luis Obispo. Continue on Highway 1 north about 55 miles, the resort is located approximately 16 miles north of Hearst Castle. The Resort can be easily seen from the highway and we are the second of only two hotels you will see north of San Simeon. You are almost there when the highway makes a wide sweeping turn and crosses San Carpoforo Creek then starts winding up the cliffs.
Use the first paved entrance on the left, the redwood and stone building closest to the highway is the Ragged Point Inn and Resort Hotel lobby building. The hotel lobby's tall covered double in and out driveway will provide convenient parking while you register at the hotel.
From the East

Go towards Monterey or Paso Robles which ever is closest. If you go towards Paso Robles cut over to Highway 1 via Highway 46 west, the exit off Highway 101 to Highway 46 is just south of Paso Robles. Highway 46 ends at Highway 1 just south of Cambria; turn right on Highway 1 and head north. Use the above the above directions when they become applicable.
