Savoring the Magnificent Big Sur Coast Pacific Ocean Views
Travelers come from all over the globe to enjoy the California Coast scenery from Hearst Castle through Big Sur to Carmel on Pacific Coast Highway 1; without doubt one of the most picturesque and magnificent scenic drives in the world. Along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH 1) there are many pull outs and parking lots you should take advantage of to savor the views and take pictures but to truly enjoy the breathtaking Pacific scenery you should stay for a while at one of the California Central Coasts Pacific Ocean view resorts or campgrounds, or at the least dine at one of the precious few ocean view restaurants.
 |
One unique Big Sur Coast ocean view resort is situated especially well for viewing the magnificent Big Sur Coast; the Ragged Point Inn Ocean View Resort. Located on the top of a 350 foot tall rock peninsula overlooking the Pacific Ocean Big Sur California Pacific Coast nestled next to the Santa Lucia Coast Mountains of Silver Peak Wilderness Area the "Point" commands a 360° view of ocean, coast or unspoiled California Coastal wilderness.
Nothing is more revered by the owners of Ragged Point Inn and Resort than the scenic views and much of the development at Ragged Point Inn and Resort has been aimed to maximize the enjoyment of the natural beauty that the property at Ragged Point provides.
At the Ragged Point Inn and Resort some of the best viewing areas have been improved and are interconnected with decomposed granite walkways that meander throughout the Ragged Point property.

The restaurant dinning room at the Ragged Point Inn and Resort Restaurant is built entirely out of glass even including the roof. At the Ragged Point Inn most all of the hotel rooms have one wall that is all glass and include decks or balconies with Big Sur Coastal views as well. Views from Ragged Point have been called, "the best views on the Big Sur Coast," and
the "million dollar view." Both are true. You will find proof on the photographs at the
Ragged Point Photo Galleries #1 -
#2 and other pages of this website, the views are truly incredible.
Only two area ocean view resorts are on the edge of cliffs, the
Lucia Lodge cliffside Big Sur resort and Ragged Point Inn Ocean View Resort.
